I now live and work back in West Yorkshire, county of my birth, but having studied Chinese at university, I lived in China in the 1980s, and since then have lived in Germany and Japan . I think this has had an impact on my writing; within the SF genre, I'm more interested in different cultures than technology, and I love developing alien languages and then dropping odd words into the text.
Lately I've been concentrating on writing for the theatre; I've been involved with local dramatics since I was a child, and I've now written several plays, both full-length for main stage and one-act for studio production, which are available through my website.
