Lea O'Harra is the pen name of Wendy Jones Nakanishi, adopted for publication of her so-called Inspector Inoue mystery series, including 'Imperfect Strangers' and 'Progeny'.

Nakanishi is American, a long-term resident of Japan. She has taught full-time at a private Japanese university for the past thirty-two years. She is the wife of a Japanese farmer and the mother of three sons.

She has published widely -- book reviews, academic monographs, and book reviews -- on 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st century English and Japanese literature as well as 'creative non-fiction' articles about her life in Japan.
