What matters most to Mickey Dubrow is that the reader is never bored. Mickey is passionate about telling stories that offer fresh perspectives while also being entertaining, and he wants readers to feel excitement, sympathy, amusement, joy, and maybe even a little anxiety when they read his work. In college, he wrote and drew a cartoon strip before moving on to work in television for thirty years. But even with his extensive experience and success, he didn’t believe he had talent for writing fiction…so he decided to write a novel for the fun of it, and he’s been hooked ever since. In American Judas, Mickey explores, among other possibilities, lost faith in America and what this might mean for the freedoms we cherish so much. He holds a BFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. As a freelance writer and producer for television, his clients include CNN, Turner South, Cartoon Network Marketing, HGTV, and SRA/McGraw Hill.
