Writing has been a passion of mine since I was young. At twelve, I was scribbling stories into my math notebook, spending my free time doodling the fantastic creatures I'd invented. I wanted to become an author when I was a young teen, I wanted to create worlds for people to lose themselves in the same way I lost myself in Christopher Paolini's world of Eragon and Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell's Edge Chronicles. I wrote a lot of short stories, a few were even published on long dead literature forums, but I never quite reached the lofty goal of writing a novel. Over the years, my interests shifted and I moved in a more practical direction with my career expectations, bouncing between multiple areas of study while in school. I never lost the flame, though. My desire to create was reflected in my various hobbies, digital image design, 3d modeling, web design, and of course writing. Now twenty-five and working toward a Pipefitters apprenticeship, I finally decided to sit down and write my first complete novel, Queen of Ghouls. From here, at this very proud moment in my life where I finally get to see one of my childhood dreams realized, I intend on continuing. Queen of Ghouls is only the first part in a trilogy called Wildervale Grimoire. I've already begun working on the second installment in the series, tentatively titled Witchlord, and have mapped out a rough path for all of my characters through to the end of the series. I'm also working on another project I've named Dark Wishes, a far cry from my current work as Grimoire is set in medieval fantasy while Dark Wishes is a futuristic sci-fi standalone novel that gets considerably grittier than what I've explored thus far in Grimoire.
