When I was a kid, I used to love to read. It started out with kid type horror books like RL Stein and then as I got older, progressed to more adult books like Stephen King. Sometime around entering high school, I stopped reading and throughout college other than what was being forced down my throat in order to graduate.

It wasn’t until I was 34 and we were taking a trip to the Bahamas and stopped by a chain bookstore and seen where King has a new book out, Mr. Mercedes, and I grabbed it for the trip. I read it quickly along with the 2 books that followed in the series.

From there, I started exploring other crime fiction writers. I started out just using books to pass the time on a treadmill, but then it become throughout the day and on wknds. When I read my first Don Winslow book, I become consumed and read every book he had written .

I randomly decided one day in 2020 out of boredom from the pandemic and after having a few poolside drinks to start writing my own. I started the last weekend of August and within 6 weeks, had my first finished book.

With the book being heavily based in Florida, I started stumbling on this subgenre of crazy Caribbean books with great characters that I never knew existed. So currently, that’s what I’ve been reading. I’ve been a little behind and have lots of catching up to do.

I've always read so many mainstream books, I'm just now discovering this great world of indie authors and look forward to making up for lost time reading them. I currently have three more projects I’m working on and look forward to writing many more books to come.
