Joan Sloane is a Canadian who grew up on Long Island with eight siblings, an assortment of dogs, cats, birds, and turtles. She says creating variety shows in the living room, along with dance, singing and theater groups has helped her to find her writing voice.
Joan has two granddaughters who also love to sing and dance and one grand dog who sleeps upside down with his legs in the air. WIGGLE YOUR HIPS WILDEBEEST with Maclaren-Cochrane, is her first picture book. A TRAIN A MOOSE and a MESS, with Blue Whale Press, is due out in 2021.
