In 1986 received an award at the National Photography Biennale of Mexico. Member of the National Research System , the Advisory Board of the National Photographic Archive System and of the Fundación Cultural Mariana Yampolsky, A.C. . Author of the book Photography and Painting, Two Different Media?, and Photographies That Tell Stories , she has recently coordinated the book Mexico City. Six Photographic Promenades .

Since 1994, researcher and professor at the Institute for Aesthetic Research, National Autonomous University of Mexico . Current project: Images and Words of the 21st Century. Photography in Mexico.
