Charles Gordon Hewitt

Died: 2828 02 19201920

Charles Gordon Hewitt was a pioneer of conservation biology appointed dominion entomologist of Canada in the Department of Agriculture in 1909. He was awarded the gold medal of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds in recognition of his role in negotiating the Convention on the Protection of Migratory Birds of 1916 between Canada and the United States of America.
