Kjell Risvik is a translator of literature into Norwegian from various languages, including Catalan, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

He was the recipient of the 1975 Bastian Prize which is awarded annually by the Norwegian Association of Literary Translators. He was also awarded the Brage Honorary Prize in 2006, along with his wife Kari Risvik.
