homeowner. Carolyn spent three years traveling the Western States and Baja, Mexico, while photographing wrought-iron entrance gates. These are compiled in her book, "Opening the Gates of the Heart: A Journey of Healing."

Carolyn has received two Honorable Mentions for her book: one for photography from the 2010 San Francisco Book Festival, and one for spirituality from the 2010 New York Book Festival. Additionally, Opening the Gates of the Heart was selected
