During Regina G. Burch’s 30-year career as a Kindergarten and first grade teacher, she was twice awarded Teacher of the Year and received recognition for writing numerous educational grants. She discovered a need for materials to teach character in her classroom so she authored Character Education Readers, 12 children’s books and an accompanying music CD that reinforces character traits. Mrs. Burch wrote the Character Education Resource Guide to provide teachers with more strategies to teach character. She interviewed colleagues of The Beatles as well as Paul and Linda McCartney and authored Love Is All You Need, a historical novel about The Beatles. Her latest published book, Good Manners For Kids of All Ages with accompanying music CD, helps children learn good manners and is available at www.teachingwithbooks.com. Mrs. Burch graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1975. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She resides in Raleigh, NC, with her husband, Michael. She has two sons, both Eagle Scouts and members of the U.S. military, and one grandson. She has volunteered with The Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years and knits items for Hats For The Homeless.
