Vasanti Unka is an award-winning designer and illustrator based in Auckland, New Zealand. The Boring Book was named the New Zealand Post Margaret Mahy Book of the Year for 2014 and won the Best Picture Book award, and was listed in the 2014 international White Ravens Catalogue. She is the illustrator of Hill & Hole by Kyle Mewburn, which won the LIANZA Russell Clark Award in 2011 and was also the first children's book to win the Gerard Reid Award for Best Book at the PANZ Book Design Awards.
