Anouk de Wit

Anouk de Wit is an architectural historian and studied Art History and Archeology at the VU University in Amsterdam. She worked for various organizations in the heritage sector, such as monument conservation in Rotterdam and Zwolle and the Nederlands Architectuur Instituut in Rotterdam. From the early 1990s she worked for Amsterdam's Spatial Planning Department on research and publications, including Nieuw Sloten van Tuin tot Stad. Between 2001 and 2011 she was director of the DRO information center De Zuiderkerk, the information center for space, building and housing of the municipality of Amsterdam. There she organized manifestations and exhibitions in which the spatial policy and public space of the municipality were central. Since August 2013 she is director of the Van Eesteren Museum in Amsterdam Nieuw West.
