Herbert Eatton Todd was a British writer of children's fiction.

Through his appearance on television, particularly on the BBC's famous series 'Jackanory', and the story-telling sessions he has held in libraries and schools to the delight of thousands, not only throughout Britain but in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong and elsewhere, H.E. Todd was reputed to be one of the best-known storytellers in the world.
