Marie Michaels is a lawyer by day and a nerd pretty much all the time. She lives in Portland, Oregon, where she is rediscovering trees after a sojourn in New York City. She writes short stories and novels about strange, surprising, terrifying, and occasionally wonderful happenings. Her publications are "Claws," in the anthology "Tell Me a Fable," "New York's All Right " in the anthology "Rejected," and "Corruption Harmonic," in the sci-fi/fantasy 'zine "Fiction Vortex." She tweets about sci-fi, fantasy, and feminism at @lavidanerdy. She is currently brainstorming her lucky thirteenth NaNoWriMo novel.
