Born: March 20 1950

Horst Hoffmann is a German author, also known under the pen name Neil Kenwood.

He studied art history and economics in his youth before deciding to become a writer. His first novel was published in 1976.

He started working on the Atlan series, and in 1982, his first Perry Rhodan booklet novel was published . His stories were often satirical in nature.

He announced his retirement from the Perry Rhodan writing team in September of 2009.
