Cute. That was fun...ridiculous, but fun.
I'm a big fan of the PvP webcomic, so when Scott Kurtz put some copies of this up for sale with the promise of a signature and a doodle inside, I jumped at it. This is an enjoyable book, but it's a little flat. The art and script are fun, bu the characters are pretty two dimensional and the book wants to substitute pop culture references for actual jokes. Not bad, just not anything that really stands out.
I read this as 5 individual comic books (instead of collected in one book).
It's a three star story wrapped in the 1980's with lots of 80's pop culture refferences and cameos. Lots of fun, well drawn and well written.
