My streak of reading more things out-of-sequence than in- continues. This is plot-chronologically CV's first Harry and Marlowe short story, showing how they met, and I'm afraid it may be my favorite.

This was my first time reading Lightspeed, and overly impressed. The issue has some interesting stories and some so so stories. My favorites would have to be Tad Williams, Robert Reed, and Mary Soon Lee. Ill be coming back for more...
Five stars to Genevieve Valentine's "Abyssus Abyssum Invocat."
In the midst of the bombardment of Paris, after seeing her brother Prince George to safety, Harry meets Lt. Marlowe and they survive one adventure only to agree to bargain for more from the world, and beyond.

Another strong issue. The Tad Williams novella that leads off the ebook edition hooked me without me realizing it was tied to a Williams series I've never read ("Otherland"). Loved the e-book exclusive "The Happiest Dead Boy in the World" by Tad Williams. Also loved the short stories "Eight Episodes" by Robert Reed, "PauseTime" by Mary Soon Lee, and "Harry and Marlowe Escape the Mechanical Siege of Paris by Carrie Vaughn.
