RapunzelA long, long time ago, a little girl was born with beautiful hair which was gold like the color of wheat.Her parents were happy with the arrival of the little girl who they named Rapunzel.But what a surprise for the parents when they realized that Rapunzel's hair was magic.Every strand of hair that the parents cut from Rapunzel was changed into a strand of gold.But unfortunately, the parents had the bad luck that an old witch overheard them.When the parents were not paying attention, the evil witch entered into the house and took the little girl far away to a place where no one would find her.A tall tower in the middle of the forest, that did not have a door near the ground.Time passed, and the girl grew into a beautiful young woman whose only company were the birds that every day came to visit her to listen to her beautiful voice.One morning, a dapper prince crossed the forest on a nearby path.He stopped suddenly to list to the beautiful voice singing a song.The prince followed the sound of the voice through the vegetationand arrived at the strange tower. On the balcony, was the most beautiful girl in the world.At the foot of the tower, an old woman whistled a melody and from the balconya golden rope came down. The old woman climbed up the rope and arrived at where the girl was.As soon as the old woman left, Rapunzel heard again a whistle. She let down the rope again, which was nothing else but a strand of her long, magic hair. She got a big surprise when, instead of the witch, appeared the dapper prince.The prince, seeing that Rapunzel was very frightened, explained to her quickly that he had fallen in love with her from the moment that he heard her voice and he asked Rapunzel's permission to visit her every day.In that manner, night after night, they talked for hours on end. Rapunzel had never been anywhere besides the tower,so the prince brought her a book with images of the ocean, mountains, castles…the Parties! But, one morning, the witch found the book."Who does this book belong to?" asked the witch.'"You know that nobody should come to visit you!""Now you and they will pay dearly," the witch said.And the witch grabbed a pair of scissors to cut Rapunzel's magic hair.The witch waited for the arrival of the mysterious visitor and when night fellshe heard that someone whistled. She unrolled the strand of hair that she had cut from Rapunzel.And when the prince was almost to the window, she showed herself. "I have taken her to a place where you will never find her," said the witch. And she threw a spell at the prince's face.Although the witches spell left the prince blind, he travelled throughout the kingdom with the hope of finding Rapunzel.Months passed and Rapunzel's hair grew back again while she at all hours with the hopes that her loved one would hear her voice and rescue her. Then one day it finally happened. The prince heard her and ran towards her. Rapunzel hugged him and her tears of happiness fell on the blind eyes of the prince, magically healing them.And in that manner, very happy for finding each other again, they left together to the prince's kingdom and there they lived happily ever after, far from the evil witch.
