Jake Simms has it all. He’s a deacon at his church, teaches Sunday school, has a loving wife and two wonderful kids. He even flies airplanes and helicopters for a living. However he also has a lot of bills and no job. Those wonderful kids are both in college and his wife is about to be downsized out of her job. But wait! They need pilots for a government contractor; supposed to be in the Middle East somewhere. They can’t say exactly, you know security reasons. After taking the job, Jake finds out that the location is a little farther away. The “somewhere in the Middle East” turns out to be off world. Seems our government has been working with an advanced race of aliens for decades. Jake is going to a planet that 30 centuries ago, the inhabitants not only managed to destroy each other, but sterilize their entire world. Humans are’nt the only ones to fight religious wars. The aliens decided that the humans need to work alongside another species. So Jake, meet your new copilot, a 6 foot tall, intelligent ant named Fred. All the weapons left on the planet where Jake was sent to fly were not supposed to work anymore, but one still does. The only thing more dangerous than its capabilities is the information it carries. And the only thing worse than it leaving Virago 4 is its arrival on Earth. To make matters worse, Jake's boss is worried about future alien invasions. Jake is just trying to not get killed today.
