Before you get started.

Any business that sells a product or service should have a website. That was true 10 years ago and it’s still true today.

Footfall on the high street has greatly decreased in the last few years and will continue to do so in the future. Even people who own local shops and work on the high street will go home and shop online.

You will already have noticed that your competitors are all going online and they’re getting customers that you’re not. It’s that simple, but now it’s time to get your share of the pie.

By following this guide, you can have a professional looking website showing off all your products and services, allowing customers to see what you have to offer, your prices and they can also find out a little bit more about your business.

It will take about 2 x 8 hour days to get your website up and running properly and to have around 12 products or services listed on your website. So you can have it completed in a weekend.

After that it’s up to you to add however many products you want. It normally takes anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to add each product, depending on how much detail you want to add. The more detail you add the better. Content is important, so add as much as possible. Students looking for extra work over the summer or weekends can be invaluable. They’re already tech savvy and it will take them no time at all to get more data added to your site.
