An Introduction to Eugenics

An Introduction to Eugenics

William Cecil Dampier
0/5 ( ratings)
The concept of Hitler’s “Master Race” grew out of the pseudo-science of the late 19th century, called Eugenics. The notion of Racial purity began with the works of Sir Francis Galton, in 1869, and were continued by many seeking to ‘improve the natural order’ by manipulation of the social orders, leading to a ‘more perfect society’. This book gives a short introduction to the ‘science’ that almost destroyed humanity as we know it, by eliminating any humans not contributing to the eugenic model of ‘correctness’. The early proponents of Eugenics understood that action taken on humans was not warranted...but those who followed had a different ethical standard.. ― This eBook edition of the 1912 original has been carefully edited for scanning and spelling errors, and is as true to the original as possible. The spelling conventions of the time have generally been left intact. [EDB Pubs]
