About the Author

Kanchan Pathak is M.Sc in Zoology and M.A. in Indian classical music. Kanchan Pathak comes from the land of Mithila, where the beauty waves of Sita still resonates. She worked first as a columnist for 'Hamara Metro' and 'Krishi Goldline' , has written more than 300 poems in three different languages. Her works get published in Kadamni, Attahaas, Garbhnal, Rajbhasha Bharti, Rupayan,Samaj Kalyan, Madhumati, Hindustan, Amar Ujala, Dainik Bhaskar and several other magazines and newspapers from time to time. Apart from these she writes short-stories, articles, vyangya etc. Some of her poems are published in some anthologies like 'Sirf Tum' and 'Kaavyshala'. 'Ik Kali Thi' is Kanchan's first solo collection of poems. She has sung songs for some movies and albums too.
