Sapphiron is a continent fraught with terrifying monsters, powerful magic and ancient secrets. Within this maelstrom Ravage and Patsy seek only to live a modest life of smithing and bandit slaying; the dominoes however are not falling in the girls favour. After a chance encounter with a group of adventurers from a far off land the strands of fate pull them in a direction from which they cannot abate. When warriors become heroes it is horrifying evil that arises to crush the souls of men. Epic trials will test their true strength and fortitude. Will their deeds become legend or will their flaming souls be extinguished, faded and forgotten... Born of the Phoenix is a high fantasy novel that does not follow the traditional story arc so no one is trying to defeat the dark lord, rescue the princess or save the world from the apocalypse. Instead I have created a world rich in history and lore and the story flows on the domino principle where the protagonist's interactions with the world around them spur the narration forwards with unpredictable outcomes and consequences for their actions. Throughout the story the strong willed female protagonists face off against enemies that are well beyond their abilities to defeat including mystical creatures, witches, ancient primordial entities and gods as well as being challenged by difficult moral and philosophical dilemmas.
