Shuttle Commander Bradley Singleton was on the flight deck of Discovery, writing up the day's log, when the call from Mission Control came through: "We have an assignment for you. Can you drop some supplies off at the lunar mine at Rock Mountain?"
"Yeah, no sweat. . ." Brad affirmed; after all, Moon missions in the space shuttle were, by now, no more than routine.
"One more thing, Brad," Control added. "When you get back to base, dock the old ship at engineering. She's due for decommission. This will be her last mission. . ."
