Rudy Sinclair had a good life as sheriff of the small town of Prairie Flats. That good life soon became a nightmare when the town’s bank was robbed and the manager murdered by an outlaw by the name of Jed Gillette. The townspeople were furious that Sinclair had, in trying to save the banker’s life, ended up losing all the money from the bank, the outlaw, and the life of the banker. Sinclair’s only witness was a gambler by the name of Hank Tate, a man also not liked by the people of Prairie Flats.
Five years later, Rudy Sinclair, no longer sheriff but now the town’s drunk, received a package by stage. A six-shooter once owned by the very outlaw who had cost Sinclair his job and his dignity. Hank Tate, having moved on to the nearby town of Sandy City, also received a similar package from Gillette.
The two, former sheriff and gambler, would find strength in one another to go after and finally put an end to Jed Gillette’s murdering and robbery streak. Each finding a new purpose in life to overtake the pit of disparity the outlaw had left them in all those years ago.
