Navigating Through Epilepsy: One Person's Account of Life Managing A Seizure Disorder

Navigating Through Epilepsy: One Person's Account of Life Managing A Seizure Disorder

Douglas Dobbs
5/5 ( ratings)
Epilepsy is an extremely personal disability that varies in magnitude from person to person. It can be a debilitating condition that cripples normal activity or an occasional inconvenience that goes mostly unnoticed. The disability is so versatile that each diagnosis is a completely separate issue having its own circumstances. There are many variables to be considered when diagnosing or even discussing a condition involving the brain and the central nervous system, this short book will not attempt to encompass them all nor am I qualified to do so. This book, will in no way replace the expert advice provided by a health professional or make any attempt to provide the needed care the medical industry can provide.

The words in this book are the personal accounts of one individual and his life long battle with seizures. A battle fought, not by choice but by necessity. Initially thought of as an unfortunate battle but eventually seen as educational and a self-fulfilling growth process. Continue to read how one person navigated through a life of hiding the disability, learning to accept the truth and finally how he continues to move forward by helping others to manage through seizures. It is my hope that by reading this short book you will find some helpful information to assist you or a loved one with a seizure condition.
