Immigration and Asylum Law of the EU: current debates

Immigration and Asylum Law of the EU: current debates

Jean-Yves Carlier
0/5 ( ratings)
The book covers the three dimensions of immigration and asylum law in Europe today : community, national and comparative.

The first part of the book covers the European rules developing in the field, including the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice and without neglecting the contribution of the European Court of Human Rights.

The second part is devoted to the question of the transposition of the directives by the Member States which will become a major concern in the next years. The reader will find about the first directives for which the deadline for implementation has expired a national report for the fifteen old Member States, accompanied by a synthesis report.

The third part deals with the national dimension which remains important; it offers a view about the current most interesting developments in nine Member States, plus a comparative synthesis on the problematic question of compulsory integration of third country nationals.
