With the help of the gang, Tessa embarks on an adventure that will test the limits of her endurance as she battles to save Twinkletoes and the other dogs from an unknown fate. The race against time takes her down into subterranean Los Angeles, and into a fire that may be the end to so much she holds dear.

Amidst this background of fear and despair, Tessa must follow her heart, and choose the love she believes will last a lifetime. Will it be Ryan, whom she’s loved for years, or will it be Clark, the man she respects professionally and is attracted to?
