Hello and thank you for visting my author page.

I am originally from Jeffersonville, Ohio and I am a graduate of both Miami Trace High School and Ohio University. Growing up in rural Ohio I spent a considerable amount of my youth outside and became very active in the Boy Scouts in which I earned the rank of Eagle. Additionally I participated in variety of sports ranging from swim team, soccer, wrestling, cross-country and track. Upon completing high school I earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Communications and over the last twelve years have worked a variety of business and financial management jobs.

I am married and am a dedicated father to two children ages 11 and 8. I have coached flag football and youth wrestling and am a Cub Scout Den Leader.

I enjoy anything outdoors from hiking, camping, fishing, or charcoal grilling. I also am a lover of movies and notoriously quote movie lines with my movie buff friends. Also I love to read and enjoy getting into deep conversations, not fiery debates, with friends or fellow readers on books or current events.

I am a life-long history buff and a passionate writer. My interest in both began in elementary school and one of my earliest supporters was my 5th Grade teacher who apparently told my parents in a parent-teacher conference that I “did not write stories,” but rather “ wrote volumes.” This childhood interest turned into a passion and transcended into my adulthood. I earned a minor in both history and political science in college, I recreationally read a considerable number of books on a wide range of historical topics, I habitually listen to recorded college history classes in the car while commuting to and from work, and as a contributing writer to a local newspaper have written a variety of essays on historical and current events.

My latest and by far most extensive project is this book into which I have poured an enormous amount of time and energy over the last five years. The topic is the Second World War in Europe, which is my favorite time period, and I have researched the whole era quite extensively in preparation for my writing. My bibliography includes more than one hundred books ranging from general histories, biographies, autobiographies, atlases and highly detailed histories of specific battles. I have incorporated multiple primary sources ranging from interviews to archived newspapers in the hopes of sweeping the reader into the time period. I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of writing this book and at no point has this project ever felt like work.
