V.J. Valentine

5/5 ( ratings)
V.J. Valentine was born in St. Andrews, Jamaica. She left Jamaica at the age of five with her parents for Fairfield County, Connecticut. She attended high school and after she graduated she enrolled in Trinity College but left to become a mother and wife. She became the mother of three children, who are now sixteen, eighteen, and twenty-one years old. The oldest is a United States Marine who she is very proud of. She is still adjusting to him serving in active duty. V.J. who was a devoted wife divorced after being married for sixteen years, started focusing on herself. She wanted to become a writer but found herself working overtime to care for herself and her children and could not find the time. However, she would make sporadic notes in the hope that one day her dream would be fulfilled.

She started preparing herself to become a religious based writer by pursuing religious studies first and attended Texas Bible College in South Windsor, CT then studied to become an AMI Montessori Teacher at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT. Her desire to be a published author for many years recently came to fruition when she was given the opportunity to work under the leadership of a published author, as an editor then a co-writer. “Unphasable” is her first offering which is based on technology, deities, spiritual beings, while addressing subjects like bullying and religious warfare.

She’s a staunch advocate for children with special needs, as well as for inner city youth, as they attempt to navigate through the education’s glass ceiling, that is imposed to impede the process of most children trying to matriculate to a higher level. She also encourages the use of technology to further promote life-long learning.

She is currently engaged, waiting to be married to the “love of her life!” Meanwhile, V.J., chauffeurs her eighteen-year-old daughter around while she waits patiently for college acceptance letters to arrive.

She looks forward to getting to know all of you. Feel free to reach out to her at any time. Contact me at [email protected] or here on Goodreads.com
