Andrea Emo Capodilista was an Italian philosopher.

Born in a aristoratic family from Venice, he studied in the University of Rome and was student of Giovanni Gentile but he never graduated. Anyway he developed a personal and original philosophy that remained unpublished till 1986 when philosopher Massimo Cacciari found hundreds of his booknotes and started publishing it.

He lived all his life alone in a almost ascetic and spartan life, his few friends were writers Alberto Savinio, Ugo Spirito and poet Cristina Campo.

His philosophy is difficult to define in proper categories or schools. He was a christian radical against fascism as the conservatorism, the only label for him was defined "Christian Nihilist" identifying God as Nothing, and Nothing as the only redemption for human being.

He is considered to anticipate the existentialism of Martin Heidegger and Emil M. Cioran.
