ZED ADAM IDRIS is an author of short stories. His written works have appeared in periodicals like Selangor Times Issue 18 and the June 2015 issue of Esquire Malaysia, including a range of anthologies from 2009 to 2018, of which among them, Body 2 Body: A Malaysian Queer Anthology , KL Noir: Blue , the regional HEAT: A Southeast Asian Urban Anthology , a poem in Little Basket 2018: New Malaysian Writing , and the recent 2020: An Anthology . Two of his written works were shortlisted for the MPH-Alliance Bank National Short Story Prize in 2009, and the D.K. Dutt Memorial Award For Literary Excellence in 2016.

In addition to prose, he also writes for the stage. He debuted his first full-length play, Samar, in September 2017 for the triptych theatrical event KENDURI KENDARA in Kuala Lumpur. He resides in Klang, Malaysia, and is currently at work on his first novel.
