The Men's Health Forum Bowel Cancer Project commenced in 2007. The project was funded by the Department of Health. The objectives of the project To understand why men appear less willing than women to partipate in the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. To recommend actions which might encourage men more seriously to consider participating in the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and thus potentially increase male uptake and close the gap in uptake between men and women.To add to the more general knowledge-base about "what works" in encouragin and enabling better male health.
