Wind Load Analysis is one of the three structural analyses that are necessary to be done first before a structural design can proceed. There are two lateral forces of nature that sometimes both have destructive effects on structures especially the earthquake force. With out knowing the approximate effect either of these two lateral forces, is very risky and dangerous since we all know that it is possible for them to come at any given time. It is in fact a very good idea to design a structural member that carries the wind load alone, so that a designer can visualize the dimension of reinforced concrete structural member and of course the number of reinforcement bars needed for just wind load alone. Included in this book is the design of purlin in an inclined roof for a house or anything of that nature. The structure that will be carrying the wind load is a four storey including basement - reinforced concrete building. This book is one of the three series of 1. Wind Load analysis 2. Earthquake Load Analysis, and 3. Gravity Load Analysis. These three are the necessities in structural design for buildings.
