I used to collect X-Men back in the 80's and early 90's when there was just one X-Men title. I started collecting a little after Kitty Pryde joined the team. I stopped when they started introducing multiple X-Men titles and things got a little too confusing and the stories were lousy. I also collected New Mutants, Excalibur, some West Coast Avengers.I found out my library had lots of X-Men graphic novels so I decided to see if I could find anything that would make me want to start collecting X-M...
Secara keseluruhan seri X-Men: First Class - Class Portaits ini jelek. Gambar yang lumayan hanya di cerita tentang Jean Grey, sisanya saya tidak suka. Ceritanya pun tidak ada yang istimewa.

This is a smaller-than-standard-sized trade paperback collection of six stand-alone X-stories that are appropriate for younger readers. The writers and artists don't overlap on any of the selections. The individual stories range from Magneto (not so good), Marvel Girl (pretty good), Iceman & Angel (pretty good), and Cyclops (okay), as well as two stories from Spider-Man Family. One features Marvel Girl and Hulk along with Peter and the other has Iceman; both stories are mildly amusing. (Bruce ha...
It's nice seeing an X-Men story that doesn't take itself too seriously. Plus they had some genuinely funny panels in this collection. Not all the stories are great (Magneto's was particularly lacking) but it was a good read overall
Good ending to the series.
Compact volume consisting of six short, non-connected chapters of super-varying quality featuring the original quintet of X-Men in solo adventures. They made the mistake of opening with a lackluster Magneto date night tale (WTF?!) which was followed by an overwrought Marvel Girl melodrama and then a ridiculous spring break adventure with Ice-Man and Angel. Things sort of get back on track with a Cyclops-centered pursuit story (yes!) that was heavy on action and humor, and then it wraps up with t...

nice x-men book!
I only liked the artwork from two issues in this collection and the story from one.
Great art and being that it featured the xmen was all this book had going for it. Bad dialogue, and medioocre story. Was meh......
A collection of random stories of different X-men, and Spiderman :)My favourite was the last Spiderman one with The Hulk :)
I really liked Jean Grey's section, but I could not stand the art in the Iceman and Angel section and was bored by the other stories. This one just wasn't for me.
Age appropriate for younger audience (minus some scary ghosts and such).
Some of the early days of the X-Men are showcased in this collection of one-shot issues from the First Class days. A young Magneto tries out his costume and his defender status for the first time, hinting at a dark path in store for the powerful mutant. Jean Grey takes an enforced break from the team and heads home, only to discover that some old memories are still haunting her past. Angel and Iceman get stuck in New York City for spring break, only to have a wacky encounter with classic Marvel
I liked the Spider-man stories the best. Jean's battle with her past was also good.
Very diverse drawing style...and I didn't really care for any of them. Magneto looked chunky and his story line was just bizarre. I think my favorite comic was actually the Spider-Man, Marvel Girl, and Bruce Banner one. That actually was entertaining. The rest just seemed slapped together. Meh.

I tried out this collection of X-Men First Class one-shots because I enjoyed the two miniseries and specials penned by Jeff Parker. This compilation does not have Parker in any creative capacity but various creators working on the one-shots. Still it has an interesting artistic line-up, mixing industry veteran in Howard Chaykin, with relative newcomers like Nuno Plati and Juan Doe and someone with indie cred like Dean Haspiel.Chaykin gave a well drawn contribution as expected. I was initially ex...
