Women's Participation in Educational Leadership

Women's Participation in Educational Leadership

Sarah Tewfik
0/5 ( ratings)
Women have been victims of traditions and culture for many centuries. In addition, sex biases have prevented them from fully participating in the fields of leadership and decision-making. There is no exception to the rule when it comes to their participation in Educational Leadership. With this problem in mind, this book assesses the extent of women's participation in leadership positions, society's perception towards female leaders, current selection criteria used and identify factors that affect or hinder their participation. Research results reveal that the overall perception of society has changed towards women leaders' ability, skill and leadership competence, and once appointed, women have proved their competence in the workplace. Furthermore, the book emphasizes remedial solutions to improve women's involvement and participation in educational leadership.
