While some may poke fun at the hokey film version, reading the book makes one realize that it has a solid story and great character design. Wish more had been done for these characters.
Anyone else remember Herself the Elf? I vaguely remember having the doll. This was another book I found among all my old childhood books. I remember it being on tv. A sweet story!
I read this as a child and found it again as an adult and couldn't resist. This is the one kid's book that made me sleepwalk. I guess I was Herself the Elf looking for my wand and I got up during the night to go find it. Turns out my wand ended up in the bathtub! I still think that story is funny, which is why this book holds a special place in my heart. It is a cute story and it does hold up pretty well. I like the elves and how their spells never go quite as planned. I also like how they event...
The first book I ever read by myself! I can still remember the awe I felt when I realized I could understand the meaning behind the words...I probably got addicted to reading right on the spot!
