Due to the extreme climatic changes started in the years 2020 USA forced 'The New Washington Treaty', concerning the elimination of pollution. New Washington is the capital, the old one being flooded as well as many other cities on the coast. The treaty statued that all major pollution sources were to be eliminated in five years. Most of the countries did not respect the treaty and USA started bombarding designed locations from space. In a few years they succeeded to destroy all industrial polluters. The destroying the world industry started in 2028 had a secondary effect: an unprecedented wave of terrorist attacks from the non-Americans looking for revenge. Europe, with almost a total lack of industry, had to deal with huge social movements, especially from the immigrants. There is an European Autarchy formed, mostly of former EU countries. The borders of the Autarchy must be be protected from some kind of invading tribes and paramilitary troops that lived in the wild, uncilvilized rest of Europe. Both USA and European Autarchy are facing a major war, caused especially by their leaders seeeking for popularity and new resources. But first they have to eliminate a few people that put their life on the line in order to maintain peace and get rid of corrupted politicians.

Dupa un sfert de secol de la suspendarea relatiilor dintre ele, conducatorii celor doua mari state sunt pe punctul de a porni un nou razboi.
