The chicken wants to help and they go from animal to animal on the farm trying to get an egg until the determined little chicken finally comes up with one. One More Egg is a silly story about a young chicken asking all of the farm animals for an egg to give to the Easter Bunny. I like that it doesn't ever strictly acknowledge that the rabbit is the Easter bunny (only the final illustration gives him away). Rather, the book's focus is on teaching children what each farm animal does. The illustrations are beautiful as well, which certainly adds to the story.

Uh, this is a really weird book. It's--okay, the rabbit needs one more egg, so the little chicken, who is too young to lay eggs, runs around to all the barnyard animals trying to find someone who can lay an egg. They wind up in the hen house, where the hens say that the little chicken is old enough to lay eggs; she just has to press down real hard. So she does, and she lays an egg. And, so, basically, this is a book about a chicken's first ovulation. Ick.
Who lays eggs? When the Bunny wants just one more egg this little chicken finds out that she can!
The chicken thinks it is to young to lay an egg, but in the end she can do it. Does have a easter hint to it.A bunny and a chicken go on a quest to find eggs.
