Cute and funny. This series is definitely a winner.
One of my students is a huge fan of Big Nate, and when he bought it at our recent book fair, and read it in one day, I knew I had to read it as well. What a fun, fun book! And I loved the emphasis put on both creativity and teamwork in this book in the Big Nate series. A great addition to our library!
This book is very addicting, it's very hard to get off. It's a good book to enjoy and it also has some comic parts to it. Nate does everything odd in the book. Nate's archenemy (Gina) is trying to edit the yearbook but he thought she would make everything about herself some he told his friend (Francis) to be the Co-editor and do stuff to stop her from taking over, this book can be found in Sora. Superpro book, must-read ;).
The title of the book I finished reading was Big Nate: Goes For Broke. The author of this book is Lincoln Peirce. It is a fictional book and has 216 pages. The Main Characters are Nate, Dee Dee, Francis, Teddy and the Jefferson Middle School students. The book is about a boy named Nate, who complains that the Jefferson students always win everything, which is proved by the fact that Jefferson won at everything against Nate's school, P.S. 38 for the last few years. Dee Dee says no one truly wins eve...
it was my favorite book out of the whole series but I still think that it could have been better
My mom just died yesterday day and this got me happyMy mom just died yesterday day and this got me happy. So I don’t have a mom any more so I’m fucking sooo sad
Big Nate Goes for Broke by Lincoln Pierce is a story about big Nate and his friends had a snow day and is trying to have the best snow day ever but turns on them. at the school dance the sprinkler system went of and they went home. The next morning Nate, Teddy, and Francis where sledding on Teddy’s new tube when the despised rivals Jefferson came and popped Teddy’s new tube. so the decided to go to nates house. On there way back they saw construction workers at their school. They said “what's go...
After reading this book, Sometimes in life, I feel like that I need to go crazy sometimes because of too much stress.
The ringo of the group! :(
Big Nate goes for broke is a very funny, I think the author did a very good job at describing the details
My thoughts on the book big nate goes for broke are that he has all of this terrrible luck and is very amusing to read. He is so scared of what will happen on his way to baseball practice. I felt scared for him because he almost fell off a bridge. He also tries to go for a record.
I really enjoy this book. This is one of the books in the series that actually has a story line, unlike the other books, which is only comics. This book is a mixture of comics, and a novel. I enjoy reading this series, and when i read it, I relate it to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. I would definite read this book again, and would recommend this book to anyone who likes the comic type books with a story line in it.
Nate Wright is about to have the biggest blast when he hears that his school, P.S. 38, is going to close down for a short notice. This means that he gets to mingle with friends, relax and enjoy drawing comics galore! But, all that changes when P.S. 38 announces that studies will continue in Jefferson, the mortal enemy of P.S. 38. The thing is, P.S. 38 hasn't beaten Jefferson in ANYTHING, so Nate and his gang are ready for a thrashing. But all that changes when the find Jefferson's 'Achilles' Hee...
This is the second Big Nate book I've read and I just love these books so much. This book mainly talked about Nate's school's students competing against the Jefferson's school. The Jefferson school is the life long winner and Nate's school is a total loser. I liked this book because it tells us a moral: there are never total winners, everyone have a weakness. This tells us this life lesson, that could help us manage our feelings when we get frustrated, when we lose or when we met their kind of s...
This book was awesome. It has so much humor in this book. It includes a kid named Nate, who's just like me, in middles school, and gets into some trouble. Nates school has a gas leak, so they have to go to their rival school, and stay there for the rest of the trimester. So, will Nate be able to keep it together for the remainder of the trimester? Also, my favorite part is when they do a snowman building competition and they find that Jefferson Middle School cheated, and they finally defeated th...
great book and hilarious!
I read the book Big Nate, Goes for Broke. It’s a funny fictional book, it is like a comic novel. The main setting of the book is at PS.38 Elementary, and at Jefferson High School. Some of the main characters are Nate, Teddy, Chad Francis, Dee Dee, and Mrs. Godfrey. Most of the conflict is between the schools, PS.38 vs. Jefferson. The kids from PS.38 vow to beat Jefferson at anything they can. I thought the book was good, and also very funny. But the book didn’t have a purpose, but it was funny
i liked this book because Nate is enraged to find out Jefferson is better than them. Later in the book, he goes to a dance. Trouble starts when the fire alarm goes off. The school is closed and the kids
The book Big Nate: Goes for Broke by Lincoln Peirce is a hilarious book full of fun stories and events of young cartoonist Nate Wright. If you like fiction books, I highly recommend this book and series.Nate Wright, a future cartoonist in the making, is tired of his school always loosing to their rivals from Jefferson Middle School. When Nate's school, P.S. 38, has to be fixed due to a pipe malfunction, Nate and his fellow comrades must go to school at Jefferson for two weeks. Nate is determined...
Big Nate Goes For Broke by Lincoln Peirce was a very good book. I rally liked how Nate had to go to the rival middle school which he always seems to have problems with while the school is getting the water drained from the gym. It was also cool to compare how Nate has evolved throughout the book and has become more mature. Th only thing I disliked about it was that it seemed like they spent to much time getting the problem and not enough to time solving it. In this book Nate is having a rivalry
