It is often asserted that there is a wide divide between the understanding of the world arising from scientific research and that held by Christians. But is science necessarily at odds with the orthodox teaching of the Scriptures? The articles in this issue address this question and argue that Christian faith provides a reliable foundation for scientific research and that the naturalist assumption is not necessary or sound.
