So this had such great potential and then the story started. No development. No real story. No reason to want to keep reading. It's not a good short and it's not going to be a good series. I love fairy tales. I love zombie stories. But this zombie fairy tale is not good.
This was an OK zombie short story. I did enjoy that for the most part it followed the original Snow White fairy tale, at least in the beginning. But I'm definitely one that thinks having fairy tales wiped out by zombies is quite entertaining. This story read pretty smoothly and I only noticed a couple of actual grammar errors. The biggest blatant error in the book is the author's interchanging of the character names "Sawtooth" and "Sawdust". Pick one and stick with it then proof read your materia...
I think I want my dollar back....
I was disappointed in this book. Not what I expected.
Oh man that was burtal! I enjoyed it very much.
I don't understand why anyone, be it someone who likes fairy tales or someone who likes zombies would like THIS; this story is NOT a good pairing of the two. I think the thing that irritated me the most about this book was the author decided to change the dwarfs names. It wasn't that that they were just changed... they changed it to where the names were just an synonym of the actual word, which was very annoying. Happy was now "Grinny" (which I continuously read as "Ginny" like in Harry Potter)....
well, that was.. with all politeness.. a bunch of fail. the two themes (snow white and zombies) do not mix well. the renaming of the dwarves to be cute fails. and the whole process reads more like a 1st year english students attempt at a mash up assignment. it would have received a mark of C- by a kind professor perhaps. pride and prejudice and zombie inspired but not a good read all around.
Great short story for the zombie lover.
This certainly isn't your little kid's Snow White. Book was pretty gruesome and gory, but what do you expect from zombies. And zombies are cool.
This book was alright. Bob McLain seems to be a good writer, it was just too gory for me. I should have known it would be that way, but it was still a bit surprising. Very graphic and gross. Definitely not for the faint of heart!
