Bryan Thao Worra was born in 1973 in Laos and came to the U.S. at six months old when he was adopted by a civilian pilot flying in Laos. In 2003 he was reunited with his biological family after 30 years during his first return to Laos. Tanon Sai Jai is a collection of poems on "the Lao experience."
Worra's work has appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines, and in 2009 he received an NEA Fellowship in Literature for his poetry. He is the author of On The Other Side of the Eye, Barrow, and Winter Ink.
