Florida homicide detective Bo Shatner has seen a lot, but he's not prepared for finding a body with its arms and legs ripped off. No predator Bo has heard of eats the extremities and leaves the torso intact. Is there a twisted new murderer at work, or is it something more sinister?

Soon Bo finds that this is not first such mutilated corpse to turn up in South Florida. The clues begin to form a picture, and Bo realizes that he's the only one interested in finding out the truth. The truth leads Bo to an old cajun named Philippe Bardot, and a final answer that might cost Bo his life.
