Let me start by saying that my nephew and I love the Transformers Prime TV series. It's flashy, smart, action-packed, full of great characters, and it's entertaining. This book didn't really do the TV show justice, and I actually found the busy pages with framed pictures a bit distracting, but who cares? It was still a bang-up story full of good vocabulary and purposeful dialogue. As I read this to my nephew, he sat completely entranced, with his mouth hanging open and his eyes glued to the book...
I think the Ozman was expecting something else when he selected this book called "Autobots Versus Zombies." He doesn't know anything about transformers, so he was quite bored. I too was bored. I don't know what Dark Energon is. This one is a solid MEH.

Giving this book a generous 2 stars because at least a kid is reading it. The reader would need to have background knowledge of the Transformers in order for this book to make sense. If you get a child to read anything else then do so.From here a teacher might be able to get a child to read a good zombie or robot book. If you wanted to use it for teaching, which I honestly can't recommend, you could use it to teach using all your resources to solve a problem and not give up.
