The director sat back in his chair with his hands clasped behind his neck. There was a knock on the door and two coffees were brought in. There was smoke coming off the cup, drifting upwards. It was obviously piping hot as instructed.
The director took out the file. Put on his readers and reviewed it while sipping his coffee.
Glen Cove in Northern Florida is a very upscale community for the very wealthy and elite. Located in the Atlantic Ocean on an island of its own, it is very luxurious. All the homes are mini estates, and the amenities couldn’t be any better. It is a five-star resort. Many of the families that live here are snowbirds, living there in the winter and going back home for the summer months. Many have homes around the world. But for many, it was year-round living. According to the official records, The richest city in Florida is Palm Beach. The median household income in Palm Beach is $169,500. It's also the Florida city with the most billionaires, with an estimated thirty billionaires living in Palm Beach as of 2022.
Glen Cove is kept off the radar as much as possible. It is similar to Palm Beach but doesn’t have the opulence and ostentatious feel, but the wealth is even greater in Glen Cove, but the money is hidden away in secret bank accounts. Most of the residents are politicians and CEOs of large corporations, organized crime bosses, and many professional people. And many from inherited wealth. They keep a low profile and usually keep their business to themselves or other members of Glen Cove. The crime rate is almost nonexistent because they have their own police force and of course, there is the board. It is a secret society that keeps things the way they want. It is never talked about, but it exists like an undercurrent that isn’t visible. The secrets to their success are rampant, they must keep it quiet at all costs or they could be ruined.
Summer Wynn is a psychiatrist working for the FBI. She has been enlisted in the new, robust program for violent sex crimes. Agent Wynn will be working on her private practice out of a newly wealthy constructed home in Glen Cove with her new partner, Agent Rickey, whom he likes to be called by the ones that are closest to him. He is a lawyer working for many years with sex offenders before joining the FBI. He knows their mind and motives. She will be in an elaborate residence with her psychiatric practice in the back of the estate in a redone mother-in-law’s house. She will get to know her patients intimately and of course all their secrets. Usually, the presenting problem is not what brings them into therapy, it is the underlying thoughts, feelings, and guilt and it is the therapist's job to wade through the complaints and find the genuine issues to work through. All thesecrets will come out.
