Dark Waters came about in 2009 when, for the first time in my life, I was facing homelessness. I would soon be living in my truck or in homeless shelters in the immediate area. Having been writing poetry since the early seventies, I decided to document my journey and experiences through word pictures. I began writing at fever pitch. Soon I had an arsenal of poems and two years had gone by. These are my experiences, my ups and my downs. This was my life for two years. I feel I am a much better person since going through these experiences. This book is a tribute to the human spirit and our will to survive through almost anything.
