Frank Edwin Peat listened to a radio program of Christmas carols while driving through New England one snowy December evening. It occurred to him that, if arranged in chronological order, these carols would tell the story of the Nativity, the story of the Shepherds and the Wise Men, incident by incident, as related by Luke and Matthew. So was born the idea for this book. Illustrated with the fine pen and ink sketches of Fern Bisel Peat. The manuscript for the carols and piano scores supplied by Wenzell Kubelka.
