The New Heart English Bible New Testament is a Public Domain Modern English translation of the New Testament and is based on the American Standard Version first published in 1901 and the United Bible Societies Greek New Testament. The footnotes contain comparisons of the UBS text with the Byzantine Majority and TR Greek texts as well as the Latin Vulgate and Aramaic Peshitta. The New Testament word Iakobos is translated in most of the major languages approximately as "Jacob." When we come to English, translators usually present readers with "James," an inaccurate English translational tradition dating to the middle ages. This work translates Greek Iakobos correctly as "Jacob." The Appendix contains 'Life of the Messiah,' a Gospel Harmony constructed to provide the reader in chronological order most of the information contained in the four gospel accounts.
